The ink that was used to sign my pardon can never be erased. It is written in the indelible ink of grace—the precious blood of Christ:
[box]“Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.” (1 Peter 1:18–19)[/box]
What reassurance that gives me.
Do you struggle with feelings of worthlessness?
Are your insecurities robbing you of joy?
Are you unsure of God’s love for you?
Let the words of this passage sink deeply in your heart and settle there. Think of the precious value of Christ’s blood. Think of the love the Father had for Him, the value of His life, the journey of suffering He would embark on . . . and realize it was to purchase you.
If you’ve received His redemption, He has written your name in the indelible ink of grace and marked you out as His own.
You are not worthless, but you’ve been redeemed with the most precious substance this world has ever known—the blood of Christ. And His work is an eternal work, His indelible ink of grace is your assurance.
How will you respond to His work of grace today?
