Will You Join Me?

I flew to St. Petersburg, Florida yesterday and will be speaking this weekend to a group of hungry-hearted women! Will you join me in asking God to meet with us? Will you join our hearts in asking God to move within the Church at large to bring true revival?

I’m excited about being with a group of women who are committed to living out God’s mission for their lives. I’m asking God to fill my mouth to speak what He wants communicated this weekend.

Please pray that God will meet with us and instruct us.

Whenever I speak, it is always with fear and trembling; knowing what an awesome responsibility it is to share God’s Word. So why am I taking the long flight and putting myself under that pressure again? What is my motivation in giving up the weekend with my favorite person in the world (my hubby)?

Why am I in Florida? I’ve shared this with you before, but I can never say this enough:

Women need to hear the truth about our great redeeming God.

We live in a day noisy with the clutter of false ideas and loud, ungodly, rhetoric. Women are confused and in need of truth. Marriages are failing, children are walking away from the faith and women are drowning in a sea of lost dreams and hopelessness. I can’t fix this, but I know One who can.

What is the answer?

Our only hope is a mighty, mountain-moving, earth-quaking, nation-shaking movement of God. I’m asking Him to do this. I’m asking Him to bring revival.

Don’t misunderstand me when you read the word revival. I’m not talking about an old-fashioned tent meeting, or church event on the calendar where people come, have an emotional experience, and leave without measureable life-change.

When I use the word: revival, I’m talking about a revolution of mind and heart that so affects a group of people that there is no mistaking they’ve been radically affected by God!

A God-Centered Revolution where:

This is what I dream for. This is what I live for. This is why I pack my bags and take another weekend away. I’m only one small speaker in a world of voices, but I pray God meets with us. I pray God moves in the lives of women who are attending this conference.

I’m asking God to ignite the fire of revival.

Will you join me in asking for that? Will you pray for us this weekend?

Kimberly, THANK YOU for packing your bags and coming to St. Petersburg, FL. I am grateful for how our Lord used you to speak truth and hope to me and my fellow sisters in Christ that attended our conference. I trust that our time together is just the beginning of many lives being transformed by biblical truth! I am looking forward to sharing with my husband, family and friends what the Lord has shown me the last 2 days! May God bless you and your heart to serve Him and the many women he allows you to touch through your ministry! ~Susan Wilson

Dear Kim, you have been on my heart since the conference at our church in St. Petersburg. I was there with my mom and neighbor. Our hearts were touched in eternal ways as you proclaimed the Gospel and the transforming power of Jesus Christ. For many years my life was hidden in alcoholism, addiction, co-dependency, and impurity– Plain and simple unbelief. But now, through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ, my life is now hidden in Christ. I was the woman on the screen in prison clothes in and out of drug rehabilitation and jail for many years. Needless to say, my family relationships have been difficult and strained. But hearing your testimony and the testimonies of the women in prison together with my mom, brought us to a place in our relationship that I have been praying for since I have come into a relationship with Jesus Christ (I thank God for the women’s prayers). My mom told me this weekend that my life has far exceeded her prayers for me. She is beginning to see the wonder that God has done in my life and I believe with all of my heart that she is returning to the Lord. For the first time I can ever remember my mom and I are beginning to have a relationship in the Lord. Praise be to God. She also ministered so sweetly to the young woman that we brought with us. To see my mom speaking into the life of that young woman in the LORD encouraged me so deeply.

The morning of the conference, my daily reading came from 1 Kings 21, the violent story of Jezebel and her manipulation of her husband that ended in Naboth’s death and more violence. I was reminded that I was a Jezebel but God had mercy on me, an immoral, violent woman and He poured out on me the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Praise God Christ came into the world to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:12-17 HCSB). Exactly when my marriage was falling apart, He used the very thing that was destroying us to pull us back together. How awesome is His Name in all the earth! The Lord spoke to my heart and my mom’s heart on countless fronts this weekend. May those words bring forth a hundred fold harvest.

“But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-7 NLT).

Although I didn’t respond over the weekend, I was praying! I love how The Lord reminded me to pray for you Kim. I have a desire to see God change lives and for women to experience Him in a deep way. Phrasing God that He answered!

Thank you so much for your prayers, friend ~

God’s presence was palpable and women responded to the Spirit’s gracious conviction. I am eternally grateful for the fact that He doesn’t leave us in our needy condition, but is willing to restore and fully redeem!

It means so much to know you were “joining us” and a part of what God was doing there, through your intercession.
    Thank you!
