The eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)
D. L. Moody’s life was greatly impacted by the following statement by Henry Varley:
The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him.
I’ve often thought about those words. They motivate me to live totally abandoned to God’s agenda!
What is God’s agenda?
He clearly states it in Numbers 14:21: “As I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of the LORD.” Here God issues His divine mandate. His passion and desire is that the whole earth be filled with His glory.
How do we fulfill His mandate?
As we are born again and grow in Christ, we begin to take on the characteristics of His nature, and reflect His attributes to those around us. In a sense, He allows us to serve as His hands and feet—ministering and offering new life to those we come in contact with.
Our single, overriding purpose is to fill the earth with His glory.
Imagine what God could do with, for, through, and in a woman who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him. Are you willing to be one such woman? Are you willing to say, Yes, Lord, to whatever He asks of you?
Are you willing to participate in filling the whole earth with His glory?
How is your life reflecting the reality of God’s presence?
How is God using you to further His Kingdom agenda in the world?
Is 2 Chronicles 16:9 a description of you?
If you are motivated to be that “one woman” living in total abandonment to Him, how will you do this?
Are there any changes that you need to make?
