Crying Out to God

A week ago, I had a sweet phone conversation with a group of nine women who are crying out to God. We were on a conference prayer-call for an event that begins tonight in Sedalia, Missouri. As I joined this team in prayer, I was struck by the commonality in the prayer calls before an event like this.

Women across this nation are asking God:

  • To work in their lives in transforming ways
  • To use them to present the gospel to lost friends and family members
  • To change them in order for others to see Christ
  • To bring healing to divided communities and churches
  • To reconcile broken marriages
  • To reach our next generation

Crying out for God to answer these requests is right in line with what God desires to see accomplished!

I’m excited about being with a group of women who are committed to living out God’s mission for their lives. I’m asking God to fill my mouth to speak what He wants communicated this weekend.

Please pray that God will meet with us and instruct us.

Whenever I speak, it is always with fear and trembling; knowing what an awesome responsibility it is to share God’s Word. So why am I heading out of town and putting myself under that pressure again? What is my motivation in giving up the weekend with my favorite person in the world (my hubby)?

Why am I in Missouri this weekend?

I’ve shared this with you before, but I can never say this enough:

Women need to hear the truth about our great redeeming God. We need a visitation by God!

Will you join me in asking God to meet with us?

Will you join our hearts in asking God to move within the Church at large to bring true revival?

This is my prayer:

[box]Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down,
That the mountains might quake at Your presence—

As fire kindles the brushwood, as fire causes water to boil—
To make Your name known to Your adversaries,
That the nations may tremble at Your presence!

When You did awesome things which we did not expect,
You came down, the mountains quaked at Your presence.

For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear,
Nor has the eye seen a God besides You,
Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him. (Isaiah 64:1–4)[/box]

Will you join me?

Praying for you this weekend, that God would show you grace and mercy to deliver a message of hope and encouragement to these ladies! Praying He will meet with you during this conference and remove the pressure to feel His overwhelming mercy, grace and peace. God is good and His love endures forever! His Word will never let us down, never abandon us, so thankful we can trust in His eternal promises. GOD IS ABLE!

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.2 Cor.9:8

Praying with you that God will “rend the heavens and come down!” It struck me this past week that the two places that word “rend” is used is there and in Joel where God says “rend your hearts and not your garments!” We are crying out to Him to rend the heavens and He is saying, “There’s nothing I want to do more, but first…” Praying this will be a heart-and-heaven-rending weekend!! May God give you Holy Spirit wisdom, compassion and boldness! Amen!!!
