Recently I had a sweet conversation with a woman who heard me speak at the True Woman conference back in 2012. I was humbled and surprised by her words. She shared with me how God clearly spoke to her that weekend. She told me that her marriage was dramatically affected by the impact of that conference. Years later, the work God began at TW ‘12 is still going on! As I listened to her share what God has done, I was amazed and grateful.

Can attending a woman’s conference make a lasting spiritual impact?

I used to think women’s conferences were a lot of emotional hype without much substance and could possibly do more damage than spiritual benefit. I still think that is true of some events, but God has changed my heart on this topic. I’ve personally experienced some spiritual watershed moments in conferences: intense brokenness over my sin which produced fruit of lasting repentance.

I’m grateful that God has shown me that He does work through venues like “women’s conferences.”

There is something about setting aside a weekend, or even just an evening, as a body of women to corporately seek God, to sit under His Word, asking Him to open our hearts to spiritual needs. It is different than your personal quiet time, or even your Sunday morning service at your own church. There is a special dynamic that occurs when we, as women, get together, on our faces, with open hearts and honest discussion; it’s a dynamic that seems to open a doorway to the next level of spiritual growth.

I need that.

I would love for you to join me at True Woman 14. I’ll be sharing my heart at two different breakout sessions and would love to meet you! I’ve attended each True Woman event since the movement began, and at each event, God has met with me in significant ways. I hope you’ll watch the video below and then ask God if He has an appointment for you there.

If you register before September 15th, the ticket price is reduced by $20.
