Calling on my Sister-Friends!

This is an urgent prayer request for you regular readers of the blog! I’m so thankful for you and have developed a friendship with many of you that I’ve never even met. God is so good. I feel comfortable enough with you that I can let you in on my need for prayer today.

But first some background on this urgent request . . .

I was in high school when I first heard Focus on the Family’s radio programs. Many of us feel like we’ve grown up with this ministry. I’m so grateful for their helpful resources that I’ve used or passed on to others through the years. There is probably no other Christian radio program that has had a greater long-term impact than Focus. From addressing critical social issues to ministering to the lonely single mom, Focus on the Family has played a most valuable role in its service to the body of Christ.

And I’m still blown away by this, but Focus on the Family has invited us to Colorado Springs to share our story. We’ll be there recording a program with them this morning. Would you pray for us?

Would you ask God:

  • For clarity of mind and heart, that we might clearly articulate what He desires to be communicated?
  • For wisdom for those interviewing us in the questions they ask and the direction the interview should take?
  • For sensitivity to the Spirit that we would be able to minister to those involved in the recording process?
  • For the Spirit to anoint the conversation?
  • For God to be glorified as we share the story of His transforming power in our lives?
  • For protection from technical problems and potential distractions?
  • For God to use this program when it airs, to reach couples in need?
  • For couples who are in a dark and lonely season in their marriage, to be filled with hope and direction from God?

And then will you join me in praising God for His compassionate heart to reach down and bring transformation to marriages?

Will you pray for us this morning?

Stopping to pray for you and Leroy right now Kimberly. How exciting! John is flying out to Denver tomorrow morning for John Eldridge’s Ransomed Heart Retreat. Please be praying for his heart to be softened and for him to hear from the Lord this weekend. Can’t wait to hear your interview on the radio! (:

  • Jennifer

What an awesome opportunity! I’m so thrilled for you both! You have a wonderful ministry and obviously God is wanting to do more with it! I can’t wait to hear the broadcast as I am a pretty regular listener! God bless you both! We will pray over you during this time! Blessings!

I’m praying for you, precious friend! God will most certainly anoint every aspect of your interview and use it for His glory as He has done so faithfully through your past interviews and teaching sessions. I’m still using treasured nuggets of wisdom from your True Woman breakout session to minister to my Bible study ladies each week. I’m looking forward to hearing your testimony again on Focus on the Family, and I will continue to pray for you!! XOXOXO

    Thank you, Carrie!

We really appreciate the prayers. God met with us, it was evident that His Spirit was at work. Now, we pray that when it airs God uses the programs to encourage couples who are in a dark and hopeless place in their marriage!

Thank you for praying, Kristy! God answered. He met with us, we sensed His Spirit and are so grateful for His presence. I’ll post an update to let you know when the programs will be airing (March, I believe).

    Blessings, friend ~

    Hello, Jennifer ~

Thank you so much for praying for us! God never ceases to amaze me. He continues to put me in that gap that lies between His assignments but beyond my abilities. Depending on Him for grace to walk by faith is a continual challenge, but an exciting journey!

We sensed His presence so clearly today and now are asking God to use the programs to encourage couples who are struggling and in hopeless places.

Your prayers play a part in all God will do ~

    Thank you, Katie!

Thankful for your prayers and for the opportunity. God answered and we are so grateful for Him meeting with us today! So thankful for all He has done in our marriage, and praying He does that same type of redemptive work thousands of times over!

    Leanne, hello, precious friend!

Thank you so much for praying for us. God was so gracious to meet with us and we sensed Him speaking through us today. I believe the programs will air in March, but will post an update on the blog to let you know.

I’m so glad to hear how God is using you to disciple women . . . keep passing it on, friend!

Thank you so very much for your intercession, much love to you, enjoy those little ones! 🙂

  • Kimberly Wagner

They said some time in March, when they have the exact date, they’ll let me know and I will post it on the blog and Facebook 🙂 thank you so much for praying! Today we’re headed to Littleton, CO, to do a conference there this weekend, so still could use prayer 🙂

  • Leanne

It’s a pleasure to intercede for you! I pray that God continues to give you clarity, peace, and strength as you serve Him this weekend and minister to others through your conference!

I have to share a praise report with you! Last night I held another one of my homeschooling mom’s nights of encouragement and challenged the women to make it a priority to “stop, drop, and pray” in the midst of the difficulty of their days. Several women have shared with me that they are doing it throughout their day and that their children are beginning to do it too! We are clinging to Proverbs 3:5-6 and using the power of pause and dropping to our knees to realign our thoughts with His thoughts and yield control of the direction of our moments to Him so He can work in us and through us to accomplish His will! It’s so exciting to see Him working and transforming our lives. 🙂

Thank you again for your commitment to the Lord and serving Him as a True Woman!!

    Have a blessed weekend!

    In His Love,
