Revived Women

Thank you faithful friends for interceding for me these past few weeks. I’m in the thick of those ten weeks of ministry that I asked you to pray about. Much has happened and today I want to give you an update on what’s been going on since I flew out of the country almost three weeks ago.

I wish I could share with you all of the sweet conversations and the activity of God that I witnessed at the True Woman conference. Before the conference even began, I saw dozens of women who were spending most of the day interceding in prayer at the back of the sanctuary. They were crying out to God and He answered. He met with us.

There were women attending from 23 countries. I met women from all across the globe who are being impacted by the ministry of Revive Our Hearts. Women confided in me how God has impacted their marriages, challenged them in their priorities, and used the daily broadcast as a “mentoring tool” in their lives. At the conference, God wove together each individual message into a coherent and unified Word from Him to the women. It was beautiful to watch Him doing that!

What He did for me personally, was allow me to get a small glimpse of what He’s doing. He is answering prayer. He is raising up a host of women—across the globe—who are willing to stand for the truth of His Word, no matter how difficult. I spoke with one precious woman from Canada, who confessed that she had struggled in her marriage for years, but God opened her eyes to her sin and how it contributed to her marriage struggles. She told me about the transformation God is doing and how He is using it to impact other women.

I met women who are making tough personal sacrifices in order to obey God’s Word. I met a precious group from Carretero, Mexico, who are praying seven days a week, 24 hours a day, lifting unceasing prayer, asking God to bring revival there. They are also asking God to bring the next international True Woman conference there (in 2017). I’m asking God for that also.

I wish I could share with you every encounter during my 11 day trip to the Dominican Republic. I can’t do that, but what I can share with you is that there was a persistent theme with the women I encountered. It was the theme of the revived heart. Woman after woman told me how they were caught up in their own agendas, had made a mess of their lives, and God stepped in to rescue. I was soaking up all the God stories and using a lot of Kleenexes every day! My own heart was revived and I was in awe of the fact that God would give me such a precious gift of seeing what He’s doing.

I feel like I’m living and experiencing the promise of Psalm 68:11:

[box]“The Lord gives the word; the women who announce the news are a great host . . .”[/box]

God is sounding the Word and calling women to repent, to actually live out the Word He’s given; to walk in the truths of Scripture . . . and I met women this past week who are doing that from all across the globe!

Tomorrow, I’ll share with you the unexpected surprise I had just hours before leaving the D. R.
