Urgent Invitation

God is stirring my heart to write again. Well, to clarify that statement, I write pretty much every day, what I mean specifically, is that God is stirring me to write another book. Not another book on love and marriage, but to write the life message He’s given me; the most personal and deepest part of my heart put on page.

Will you pray for me?

Will you join me in a season of seeking God for this?

Because I never want to write—just to put more words out there.

The world is filled with too many books already.

One stat I read lists “32.8 million” as the number of books Amazon has listed. Mind boggling amount. There are already so many books, how could any more be written? But then I’m reminded of what my precious friend Carolyn once told me:

“There is still room for books written through your personal life-lens, told from your heart, and given through your voice to share with others.” That’s not an exact quote. We were on a walk one sunny Colorado day when she encouraged me with that wisdom, and I didn’t have my pen handy to jot down her kind exhortation in its exact wording.

But I tucked away Carolyn’s words and rehearsed them often, as I fearfully stepped out in faith, when I was asked to write Fierce Women. I didn’t agree to write that book until I’d saturated the whole thing in a long extended season of prayer.

I need prayer support as I consider stepping out there again.

Will you serve as sister-friends and pray for this new journey of writing?

Will you let me know in the comments below what your thoughts are on reading a book about “cultivating a passion for Christ?”

That is what is stirring in my heart. Before I die, before my last breath, I so desire to see God raise up a host of women who are living all out for Him. Women who will battle the materialism, the American boredom, the suffocating fumes of idolatry and nominal Christianity to reach a place of steadfast devotion. I desire to see women who set aside personal agendas for His, who are living for more than self, pleasure, the weekend, the vacation, or the next great movie.

Women are feeding their soul-hunger with things which dull the spiritual appetite; hungry women who are starving themselves on the glut of a self-centered existence, rather than responding to His love.

I am praying that women will awaken to His beauty, His reality, His redeeming power.

I am praying for women who will step into the uncommon, taking the supernatural into their daily moments.

I desire for women to live fully connected to, and engaged with, the Life-Changer.

If you are interested in reading this kind of book, will you send out words of prayer and encouragement along the way?

I’m seeking God to clarify all He is calling me to and to provide the stamina and abilities to fulfill it.

The temptation is to walk a slower pace, stay in my comfort zone, and relax a bit . . . but . . . there is this sweet invitation that keeps returning. Sweet but urgent . . . so many women are missing out. God is longing to draw them close, He is pursuing, but so many seem to be unaware.

Those are the women I want to reach, they are who God desires to capture.

Will you pray?

I commit to pray for you as you seek the Lord in this endeavor. God has given you a great gift of communicating to women. I had never read a book written on the topic of fierce women. It was much needed and has been used mightily in my life and the life of countless others. The topic you have chosen for a new book has been written by many authors, but I believe God has given you a unique voice to communicate it in a way that will many will be challenged to pursue Christ and lay down those things that so easily entangle us. Thank you for availing yourself to be used by God in this way.

Yes, Kimberly, I will pray. Heavenly Father, as I consider the task that Kimberly believes is hers to undertake, Nehemiah comes to mind. Please protect her and her family, physically, emotionally and spiritually during this project. Please align every word that will fill the pages of this book with Scripture. May this book bring healing to wounded souls. May it strengthen our faith and guide us to truths we’ve yet to discover. Please bless Kimberly with a continual sense of Your presence and power to accomplish this great work, and may it please You to use it mightily in lives of countless women… that we might better know, love and joyfully serve Jesus, not as He walked on this planet, but as He now IS… the One who said, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

Oh, Jennifer, thank you so much! So good to hear from you and know that you will be praying. I may ask you for some input along the way, it is always good to hear from women who are honest about their struggles and share that with a wider audience of women who can relate to that. Your comment was such a sweet encouragement to me this morning, thank you! 🙂

    Hello, Kathryn ~

Yes, that is definitely how you can pray for me, to receive His grace and strength for this project! Please also pray that God provides a significant chunk of time this summer to apply myself to writing and that HE would provide the content.

  • Vicki

I most certainly will be praying for you, Kim, and I eagerly await the finished product! Asking that God will use this new writing to lead many women into deeper relationship with their Father – the way He has used Fierce Women to lead many into deeper relationship with their husbands.

  • Peggy

Great news! I will be praying for the writing of this new book. The greater my love and passion for Christ the more the gospel is lived out in my life for others to see. Yes! write it and encourage us to go deeper, to love greater and to bear fruit that will point others to Christ and glorify God.
I can’t wait to read what God lays on your heart. May He strengthen you for the task and bless you with joy in the process!

  • Kimberly Wagner

Thank you so much, Vicki ~

    Hello, Julie!

So good to hear from you. Hope your family is doing well. Thank you so much for your precious words of encouragement, and your commitment to pray. That really means a lot!

Pausing to pray for you now, much love sent your way!

  • Naomi

God please lead and guide Kim and give keep the endurance to accomplish your will for this new book.

Yes, Kim this book is very much needed. I read this post earlier this week at that time I was pushed for time, pushed in another direction at work, pushed pushed pushed that I didn’t even have time to post this comment. Now, it’s Saturday evening and I home alone with God, finally. I said that to say, this book is so needed because cultivating a passion for Christ sometimes means finding that moment of quietness. How do we master that in this fast pace society. I’m excited and can’t wait to hear what God tells you to tell us. Thank you for your passion.

    Naomi

  • Kimberly Wagner

    Hello, Naomi ~

Good to hear from you! I’m glad you took the time to return to the post to leave a comment. I totally understand that struggle. No matter how busy we are, how many responsibilities we have, or how many activities are filling our schedules, I believe God desires to meet with us in the midst of the craziness of our lives. It is necessary to build within our days the opportunity to take moments to pause and worship and reconnect with Him.

You may have read this post before, but I’m pasting the link to a post that I hope you’ll find helpful in the challenge of “finding quiet” in the midst of the push of busyness:

Praying you will find moments to worship and connect with Him today!

  • Gigi

Dear Heavenly Father, may YOU carve out a significant amount of time this summer for Kimberly and give her the wisdom and self-discipline to apply herself to writing. May Your Holy Spirit fill her heart and mind with Your Truth from Scripture and provide the content of this book. Amen!

” . . .women who are living all out for Him. Yes! That is me — that is my desire to see my daughters, sisters & friends have that flame burning in them too! I am in agreement with you and the Lord on this!

Kimberly, will you please prayerfully consider including in the book how to pursue this if your husband does not share that passion to the same degree, is not in the same place spiritually, or is not also intensely pursuing Christ?
Thank you & God Bless you!

  • Kimberly Wagner

    Hello, Gigi ~

Thank you so much for your intercession for me and prayers for this project! It is so encouraging to know women like you are praying. Also, thank you for that suggestion. Yes, I think that is a critical need to address. So glad you mentioned it!

    God bless you, friend ~

  • Pauline Butler

    Dear Kim,
These are the very things that burden my heart, too, and I’m sure it must grieve our Lord. If He is laying it on your heart to write, then I know He will guide you and use this work to reach many for His glory. Praying that you will know without a doubt that this desire is from Him and for the courage to move forward in the power of His might. Thank you for being sensitive to His leading. He is using you and your ministry to effect a change in the lives of many.

If I may take a moment to do so, I would like you to know that our True Woman event went very well. Many women are telling us that they hope we will do it again, saying that it is so needed. It has been such a wonderful experience to be a part of this work. My words fail me to properly express the joy of witnessing all that God has done. One woman approached me immediately after the event and said, “Thank you for doing this. It has changed my life.” Thank you for praying and for being such an encouragement to me. God uses the words you share to mentor me, and I am so grateful. Keep “looking unto Jesus…” Your sister in Christ~~Pauline

  • Kimberly Wagner

    Hello, Pauline ~

Wow, thank you so much for letting me know what God is doing there, so exciting! When God is on the move, it is hard to describe, it is hard to put into words a work of the Spirit.

I’m so thankful for your obedience and for being a truth-speaker to those around you. Thank you for being an encouragement to me here on the blog.

May God continue spreading His glory through you!!
