We’re Tucked Away in a Cabin

One thing never ceases to amaze me, and that is how very kind and good the Father is to me. This verse is true every day, but sometimes, like today, the reality of it just explodes:

[box]“How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you” (Psalm 31:19).[/box]

Some generous and thoughtful friends provided a cabin getaway for us some time ago, and we waited until the final week of pounding out the final draft of the book to slip away to this hidden spot for a prayer and writing retreat. In these quiet woods, we’re focusing solely on putting the finishing touches on the book as well as covering it in prayer while we work.

Many of you have sent kind notes, texts, and encouraging messages, to let us know that you are praying for us. You’ve stepped in to carry the burden with us, and I’m touched by your heart to intercede for husbands (and couples) who need the message God is conveying through the book.

We are deeply grateful for each of you who are part of this work through your intercession and encouragement. Thank you. Please continue praying this week as we seek Him for the final touches that are needed! He alone deserves all the glory and praise, but you deserve our appreciation and gratitude.

Continuing to pray and be watchful to see how God uses His story in your lives to encourage and build up other marriages. I’m excited and expectant! And what a kind gift in putting you in a beautiful place this week! ? He’s a good, good Father — it’s who He is. ?

Praying for you and LeRoy; may the Holy Spirit be present and give you such wisdom and clarity in what you are writing! Thankful for you both and the impact you have had and will continue to have on so many “for the sake of His Name! “
