Don’t Miss It!

This will be the first time in twenty years that I’ve missed. All the way back to 1997, if Nancy was in Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, or Little Rock, I was there. Back in the day, before the first True Woman Conference, before radio programs were recorded, or her books were written, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth was calling women to: “Freedom, Fullness and Fruitfulness in Christ” through the ministry of Revive Our Hearts, in small conferences.

Mostly I was there in the background giving prayer support.

Today, my prayer support will come from a little further away. We’ll still be in Dallas, finishing up LeRoy’s last appointment for the week, when Revive ’17 starts in Indianapolis. But we’re not going to miss it and I hope you won’t either. After his appointment, we’ll make our way back to our homey cottage, and settle in to be part of what God is doing, praying for and encouraging this team from afar. And you can, too!

You can click this link and join those of us who are watching by Livestream!

If you’re unfamiliar with Revive Our Hearts, or don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, check out these posts for more information on the incredible line up of speakers. There’s my good friends Mary Kassian, Damaris Carbaugh, Dannah Gresh, and Susan Hunt. You don’t want to miss the excitement of my precious friend, Betsy Gomez or Robyn McKelvy’s heart. Josh Davis will lead us in worship and Carol Anderson Shores will provide inspiring drama presentations.

And of course, you won’t want to miss our beloved Nancy as she shares from God’s Word and leads this event. Her desire is to see women embrace their calling to adorn the beauty of the gospel as described in Titus 2:3–5. The messages will take us through the instructions from that passage and provide us with inspiration, encouragement, and practical help.

It’s not too late to sign up to watch the Livestream! Visit for all the information you need. It starts today at 1:30 p.m. (ET).

Join me in asking God to anoint His Word, to cover the speakers and each person on the team with His empowering grace. Pray for the women who are receiving the Word, in person or through the Internet. May God speak to each of us in a way that is iron-sharpening and inspiring, that we might love Jesus more deeply, follow His Word more closely, and serve others more passionately.

    Beautiful Kimberly,

How I will miss you so this weekend!!! I’ll miss your warm hugs, beautiful smile, inspiring, fun conversation, and words of wisdom!! The Lord has you and many others in a different season this year that keeps you from being with us, but know that you are loved, prayed for, and that God has a mighty plan and purpose there for you right by your beloved, LeRoy’s, side!! I love you dearly and will continue to intercede for both of you, your family, and your sweet new grandbaby!

You were greatly missed at Revive17. Praying for you and Leroy as you walk through this difficult time. We have had a difficult summer in other ways and know how much prayers are appreciated and needed. Thanks be to God for His unmeasurable grace and kindness to us!! Praying for healing for Leroy and strength for you as you continue this walk. Caring giving can be exhausting physically and emotionally. Love you!! Laura “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Phil. 4:11-13

You were missed, but not forgotten. Praying for you and your man this morning in South GA. Love and hugs to you.

I ran across your blog a week or two ago through the ROH blog, and I have been following Leroy’s story since.

I would like to share, with his full permission, a close relative’s experience with an autoimmune disease that you may find encouraging. Is there a way I can privately contact you if this is of interest to you?

  • Esther

Prior to watching the video about NMO you linked to in your previous post, I did not actually realize that MS and lupus, etc, were autoimmune diseases as well.
I should clarify, then, that this relative’s experience was also with an extremely rare autoimmune disease involving demyelination of nerves.

I am so inspired by how you and Leroy are showcasing God’s steadfast love in such an intense trial. You truly were missed @ ROH this year and pray we see you @ TW ’18.
Praying for you both, for your medical teams/advisors and currently reading your book, Fierce Women.

You were definitely missed! It just wasn’t the same without you and Jean. Sure do love you and continue to keep up and pray for you.
