    Her little seven-month-old legs started kicking and her squeal could be heard all the way across the parking lot. We were at least 100 feet from the vehicle when her Poppy jumped out of his truck and yelled his pet name for her: “Zu-Zu!!” She wasn’t looking his direction at all until she heard his voice, then her head whipped around and her whole body started doing the happy dance in my arms.     She was in her late seventies; I was in my early twenties. She was my “visitation partner.” I was a brand new pastor’s wife (And really green at my role!). Mrs. Wells took me under her wing and taught me how to “make a visit.” Our church was in a thriving metropolis in the Ozarks. “Population: 503” is what the sign read as you drove into town.
